Essence of Time, Inc. specializes in sales of high-end new and pre-owned watches manufactured by leading Swiss and German manufacturers, and offer them at significant discounts in accordance to their retail values. We select and price our watches based on the market’s trends and demands, and strive to bring wide variety of the most beautiful horological creations on the market at very fair and affordable prices. Our clientele ranges from novices, and people who are on the market for the first entry-level “Real” watch to well-established watch aficionados and connoisseurs with very distinguished collections of fine watches. We pride ourselves in long-lasting professional relationships with our valuable customers. Our key values are customer’s satisfaction, diversified selection, fair and competitive prices, personable and knowledgeable customer service since all of these elements are major factors in our business.
Our brand new watches are guaranteed to be 100% original, authentic, with complete serial numbers and manufacturer’s markings fully intact, unaltered and they come in original manufacturer’s packaging with supportive documentation (unsigned or excluding manufacturer’s warranty cards / pamphlets). We purchase these watches through respected distributors, wholesale companies and dealers in quantities, and in return, we are able to bring you substantial savings on some of the most prominent watch brands available on the market. This is achieved due to our low overhead costs, operating expenses, and ability to buy some models in large quantities. The reason for these discounts is that we are not an authorized / official re-seller for any of the watch brands that we carry, and we are not restricted by any agreements with watch manufacturers to sell these watches at full or very close to retail prices, and that’s how we pass those savings on to you.
All of our pre-owned timepieces are being carefully inspected for any movement malfunctions, visual defects and time accuracy. If problems are determined, they will be appropriately addressed and fixed, so our customers will get these watches in perfect working order. Also, our pre-owned timepieces are being carefully treated for, in most cases they are lightly polished and buffed, and condition of these watches accurately described on our website. Most of the times we are able to acquire original boxes and documentation of pre-owned watches, and there are times when we can’t. We reflect availability of the packaging and documents in the description of each watch.

| Sales Policies |

The sales of our watches are based on “First Come – First Serve” basis, and due to some very attractively-priced watches, and periodic incredible special offers, some watches tend to sell out quite fast, so we encourage our customers to act accordingly. We also have several classifications identifying availability of the watches featured on our website, and they are identified as follows:
• Available – indicates that the watch is physically present in our inventory stock.
• On Request – indicates that the watch is not available in our inventory, but can be obtained per customer’s request.
• On Hold – indicates that we received deposit or transaction is pending approval.
• Sold – indicates that the watch has been sold, and is not available in our stock.
Please note, that we update our website 2-3 times a week, and trying to keep it up to date as much as possible. However, some products can sell off in-between our periodic updates, and the current availability of any given watch may not be accurately represented during placement of your order. If you have placed your order during one of those lapses between our updates, we’ll notify as soon as possible if the watch has been sold out, and will offer you some alternate options, or your order will not be processed at all, and you won’t incur any associated expenses.
After you place an order with us by our acceptable payment methods, we will check the information you provide us for validity, including certain verification steps taken on our end. We process all orders promptly and accurately. Should we have any additional questions pertaining your order, you will be notified promptly via email or phone. Once everything is verified, cleared and approved, your watch will be shipped immediately via one of our designated couriers. Please note, that due to the high pricing levels of our merchandise and risky nature of online transactions, we reserve the right to reject any “Questionable” or incomplete order you place with us. We’ll try our best to resolve any misunderstandings, and fulfill your order, but under certain circumstances your order still may not be processed, and you’ll be sent an email with an explanation of your order cancellation. Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not necessarily confirm that we will accept and process your order. We reserve the right to accept or decline your order at any time and for any reason. |

Domestic (US) Orders
These are acceptable forms of payment for US customers:
• Money Orders (subject to 5 business days clearance period)
• Certified Checks (subject to 5 business days clearance period)
• Personal checks (subject to 7-10 business days clearance period)
• Bank-to-Bank Wire Transfers (Shipping is on the same or next day)
• PayPal (Shipping to PayPal’s Approved address only*)
• VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover (certain pre-qualifications and restrictions apply**)
* We ship our products to approved and verified by PayPal. We cannot ship to any other address. PayPal transactions have a cap of $10,000 per transaction.
** We have several restrictions when accepting credit card payments. For customers and our security we prefer to ship our watches to the billing address of a credit card holder. However, if a customer needs to receive a watch at the different address, we ask our customer’s to add that Alternate shipping address (If it’s not already included) to file with your issuing bank of the credit card. It’s fairly simple procedure, and will only take a few minutes of your time. You would need to call the phone number indicated on the back of your credit card (usually it’s Toll-Free number), and provide customer service representative with the address where you would like us to ship the watch. In turn, it will help us faster process your order and will ensure that it will be delivered to intended recipient.
** Please note, that in some cases we can ask our customers to provide us with some additional verification information by filling out, signing and faxing back to us our FAX Authorization / Order Form (which can be downloaded here), and also we may require some forms of identification, such as driver’s license or passport. We screen credit card transactions very carefully and take all possible measures to prevent any potential credit card fraud.

| International Orders |
Essence of Time, Inc. is proud to have large international customer base, and we have extensive experience in shipping our watches to most of the geographic regions of the world. We value our international customers and try to make their shopping experience as seamless as possible.
These are acceptable forms of payment for international orders:
• Direct bank-to-bank wire transfers (no additional fees incurred, and the merchandise ships right after the payment is received. For most international wire transfer transactions it usually takes 2-5 business days for the funds to reach our bank).
• PayPal (for Canadian and United Kingdom customers with Confirmed and Verified addresses only)
• VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover (International credit card transactions are subject to extensive verification, and since verifying these transactions requires high level of expertise, we contract 3rd Party company that specializes in verification international transactions at this service is offered at premium of 3% added to the total of the placed order. We can also request legible copy of the credit card (back and front) along with copies of valid identification, such as Driver’s License or Passport).
• American Express (only if shipping to a customer's billing address with some supporting additional information)
Please note: All prices and shipping quotes derived from us exclude any international custom duties, VAT, taxes, local surcharges, etc. Your local customs office or delivering courier that acts as brokering agent on behalf of your local government collects these fees. Since customs duties vary widely from country to country, we encourage our international customers to contact their local customs office for an estimate of what they might need to pay before ordering our products. |
| Shipping Within USA |
Watches: We ship our watches via insured Next Day UPS delivery service. Watches are fully insured against loss, theft or damage during transit, and due to the high value of our products they are all shipped with “Signature Required” upon delivery where an authorized adult of the age of 21 and up must sign for a package. These are requirements of our 3rd Party insurance company, and we won’t be able to make any exceptions.
Although, shipping by UPS is our preferred shipping method, we could make some accommodations to our customers by shipping through alternate carriers, such as FedEx and Express USPS. Shipments to PO Boxes, FPO and APO destinations are handled through US Postal Service.

We institute an additional surcharge in the amount of $15.00 for Saturday delivery service. Shipments to Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii are charged an additional $18.00, and they usually take about 2-3 business days from the day of shipment.
Neckwear: Our neckties are packaged in nice carton gift boxes, and are being shipped via USPS Priority Service fully insured. The orders will be shipped within 24 hours of the receipt and approval of payment, and it usually takes 2-3 business days for a package to arrive within continental United States. The shipping charges vary depending on the quantity.

| International Shipments |
Our international orders are fulfilled and shipped via International Priority FedEx service. The packages are very well packaged, secured, and fully insured against loss, theft or damage during transit. Shipping costs vary based on weight of a package, insured amount and final destination. We ask our international customers to contact us for shipping quotes to their respective countries. Shipping charges range between $70 to $150 based on above-mentioned criteria.
Although, shipping by FedEx is our preferred shipping method, we could make some accommodations to our customers by shipping through alternate carriers, such as UPS and Express USPS. Please note, that all packages must be fully insured during transit, so everyone is covered in unlikely event of misuse or theft.

| Return policies |
Watches: We value our customer’s business and offer fair Return Policy for our watches.
We offer 3-Day return / inspection policy from the date of the receipt of a watch. A customer needs to notify us by the end of a 3rd Day of his / her intentions to return a watch. The watch has to be received back to us by 7th Day since it was purchased.
Don’t wear a watch until you are certain, that you would like to keep it. All watches must be returned in the same condition as they were received, including all boxes, papers, hand tags and other accessories included with a watch.
Please note, that you first need to request our permission and agreement to return a watch. If a watch is received in the same condition as it was sent out to you, we will process a refund for the purchased value of a watch minus shipping costs. All credit card transactions are subject to 5% Re-stocking fee, because credit card companies still withhold processing (discount) fees associated with each credit card transaction, even when the funds are refunded back to credit card holders account during return process.
The credit will be processed in the same way as original payment received from a customer. The customer is responsible for return shipping and insurance costs when sending a watch back to us. The watch has to be insured for the purchased value and sent back to us via traceable courier, such us UPS, FedEx or USPS. Please note, that FedEx only insures watches and jewelry for maximum of $500.00 unless you have special account or arrangements with this shipping company. If the proper guidelines of shipping your watch are not properly met, and the watch is lost or damaged during transit, the customer is liable. We also reserve the right to reject any returns and withhold the refund if a watch was tempered with, worn, damaged, scratched or altered in any way.
Sales of special-ordered watches are considered final, and no returns will be accepted. For more information regarding Special-ordered watches, please refer to our Special Orders sub-section towards the end of this page. Neckwear: If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with a necktie you purchased from us, you may return this item within 10 business days from the date of purchase for a full refund minus shipping costs. The tie must be returned in the same brand new, unworn condition as it was sent out to you. There won’t be any refunds or exchanges after 10 business days since you received your order. | Sales Taxes |
All shipments within the state of Illinois are subject to 8.5% sales tax rate. For shipments to the states outside of Illinois, NO sales tax will be charged.

| Warranty |
Essence of Time, Inc. provides Limited Warranty of one year from the date of purchase, including movement malfunctions and battery replacement. Our warranty doesn’t cover damages to the case, crystal, bracelet, strap, external design and functional elements: it doesn’t cover accidents caused by excessive wear and tear, scratches on the case and crystals, non-compliance with manufacturer’s specifications in operating the watch, water-resistance limitations and physical abuse.
If a problem with a watch occurs a customer needs to contact us and request our Authorization to return the watch for inspection / repairs. Once we grant permission to return the watch for necessary service, a customer needs to ship the watch back to us via fully insured courier with traceable tracking number for the package online. A customer is responsible for shipping and insurance costs back to and from us. Once the watch is received, we’ll examine and determine the problem, and notify a customer of necessary repairs involved in fixing the watch. We will also provide a customer with the estimate of the time frame to complete necessary repairs. Once the watch is serviced and ready to be shipped we’ll notify the customer prior shipment since all packages must be signed for upon delivery.
Sometimes, we able to obtain watches with valid manufacturer’s warranty (stamped warranty card by an authorized brand’s dealer) for a number of years specified by a manufacturer. In that case, the manufacturer’s warranty will override our own warranty, and a customer should be able to send a watch for repairs directly to a manufacturer for authorized services. The information who provides the warranty on any given watch will be included in the descriptions of the watches listed on our website.

| Special Orders |
|
If you are interested in the certain watch, that you do not find listed on our website, please send us a detailed information regarding sought-after model, i.e., brand, model, ref. number, case material, etc., and we'll try to get the best quote for you. You will receive a response from us within 72 hours of your inquiry. If a customer decides to pursue the purchase of the watch of interest, we’ll order this watch. Please note, that we must receive 20 % deposit prior to placing a “Special Order”. The balance is due when we receive the watch and it’s ready to be shipped. The delivery time on Special Orders might take up to 2 weeks from the date of placing an order, and in some instances, it might take longer due to certain difficulties in obtaining rare and hard-to-get models.
If for any reason, a customer decides to forgo the transaction, the paid deposit will NOT be refunded. “Special Order” sales are considered final, and no returns will be accepted, and no refunds will be given. It also depends on popularity of certain models, which could be a great factor in increasing a retail value of a timepiece. The sale prices on our website are subject to change without prior notice based on the adjustments of respective retail values of the watches featured on this website.
