Let’s dig in with Zenith’s latest movement in their famed El Primero line of automatic calibers. 

The El Primero 3600 is a high-frequency chronograph movement that works at the elevated frequency of 5Hz and allows for highly accurate 1/10th of a second chronograph measurements, which can be conveniently read via the scale upon the rugged black ceramic bezel. El Primero 3600 beats at 36,000 vph, has 35 jewels, and offers up 60 hours of power. It can be enjoyed via the exhibition caseback.

The subtle matte white dial displays these multifaceted offerings in a multicolored parade that simultaneously shows both vigor and restraint. 

At 3 there is a 60-second counter in blue, there is a 60-minute counter at 6 in dark grey, as well as a small seconds subdial at 9 in light grey. The central chronograph arm with an appealing star-shaped counterweight, makes one circuit every 10 seconds.

Be sure to look for the date window nestled between 4 and 5 as well as rhodium-plated hands with SuperLuminova SLN C1 luminosity for easy viewing in low light.

The robust stainless steel case measures 41 mm in diameter, 13.6 mm in height, and rests upon a stainless steel bracelet. Additional case features include a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a push / pull winding crown, and a 100 m / 10 atm water resistance.
