First, beneath the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal we have a timepiece of robust offerings. 

Zenith’s certified chronometer El Primero 21 movement is the most accurate and fastest manufacture chronograph on the scene. It offers a 50-hour power reserve and can be viewed through both the open dial and exhibition case back. 

At its heart you will find two regulating organs and escapements: one beats at 5Hz for keeping the time while the other beats at a fabulous 50Hz to offer a true 1/100th of a second chronograph function. As such, there is a center red-tipped chronograph hand as well as a 30-minute counter at 3 and a 60-second counter at 6. Note the subtly rendered running seconds at 9.

In addition, there is a 1/100th of a second track in white and a Chrono Power Reserve indicator at 12.

The rugged brushed and partially polished case measures 44 mm in diameter, 14.5 mm in height and rests upon a black rubber strap with a tough titanium folding clasp. Other features include a 100 m / 10 atm water resistance and a push / pull winding crown.
