Omega has always been driven by a pioneering spirit; in fact, no watch company in the world holds more records for accuracy. Their watches have been the timepiece of choice for some of history's greatest explorers - from deep-sea divers to astronauts.

Omega Bullhead lovers of the world had long begged the brand to bring back this curiously compelling model from the late 60s, which is exactly what they did in 2013. 

As a limited-edition reissue, only 669 pieces of this Omega Seamaster Bullhead were produced, making this thrilling timepiece a challenge to obtain.

To provide some context, the original Bullhead was released in 1969 but it wasn't very popular at the time and had a short-lived production run of only about a year. With its unique case shape and the placement of winding crown and chronograph pushers at 12 along with the secondary crown at 6 it took on the nickname of Bullhead.

In this limited-edition reissue the flashy silvered "rallye" dial with its stippled pattern offers up a dynamic nod to the Bullhead model's association with motorsport, as does the bold red stitching upon the black leather strap with folding clasp. Be sure to note the small seconds counter at 6 and the date window at 3.

With regard to the chronograph, Omega's Co-Axial Chronometer 3113 caliber offers up a central chrono seconds hand, a 30-minute counter at 12, and a 12-hour counter controlled via the secondary crown at 6 and read via the bidirectionally rotating inner bezel with 12-hour scale. By the way, this scale can also be conveniently used to track a second time zone.

Some attractive features include a screw-down winding crown, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a 150 m / 15 atm water resistance at the time of production.

The iconic cushion-shaped stainless steel case measures a hefty 43 mm in diameter, 14.85 mm in height, and features a closed case back.
