Movado means movement in
the international language Esperanto, and with the brand’s reliable
Swiss production and occasional Bauhaus influence, Movado has kept
moving forward through the years to set many design standards, perhaps
most famously with their minimalist triumph, the Museum Watch.
Yaacov
Agam, the world-renowned sculptor, experimental artist, and master of
kinetic art, collaborated with Movado on these phenomenally dynamic Love
Star watches in 1989 as part of the producer’s Artists’ Series. Museums
in Germany, Switzerland, and Japan have showcased Agam’s Love Star
artwork, and now it’s possible to own—and wear—a piece of art history.
This
watch are highly sought after limited-edition timepiece of only 150
pieces produced in 1989. As such, this watch can be difficult to obtain,
but, more excitingly, it will make positively thrilling addition to
your collection.
The
multicolored triangles found upon watch’s bezel points inward to the
vibrantly colored dial. The visionary and iconically Agam
triangle-shaped hands deliver a truly unique way to tell the time. The
case and movement are signed and numbered.
Circular
metal case features art-filled case back secured down by screws, and
the watch comes in its original polychrome acrylic display case with an
Agam-signed brass base.
From
its limited-edition availability to stunningly unique and original
design, we are most excited to offer this Movado Love Star watch for
your consideration.
