Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf launched the Tudor Watch Company in 1946 in an effort to offer the public reliable timepieces at affordable prices. Since 2015, Tudor has been manufacturing in-house movements to much acclaim. 

Tudor’s iconic snowflake hand was envisioned in 1968 and released for us to enjoy the following year. To pay tribute to this moment in Tudor history, the brand has given us the Black Bay 68. We especially enjoy its meticulous attention to quality and detail.

As a large-sized timepiece, the stainless steel case measure 43 mm in diameter, 13.6 mm in height, has a lug inset of 22 mm. It rests upon a stainless steel bracelet with a stainless steel folding buckle.

The rotating bezel with a black insert and easy-to-read dive scale will serve you well whilst exploring the watery depths. A fabulous 200 m / 20 atm water resistance comes in pretty handy, too.

Additional features include a screw-down winding crown with Tudor rose in relief, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a lovely silver-toned dial with applied luminous markers upon the hour. Note the dynamic mix of marker shapes.

As a self-winding automatic watch, the manufacture MT5601-U caliber is running the show here. It gives you a generous 70 hours of power (that’s almost 3 days!) and delivers dependable accuracy as a COSC- and METAS-certified master chronometer.
