TAG's official Art Provocateur celebrated street artist Alec Monopoly
has brought his iconic vision to a new medium: the luxury timepiece. In a
thrilling marriage, this special-edition watch is both a vibrant piece
of art as well as a precision timekeeping machine.
First
off, take in the boldly colored "graffiti" dial with its Monopoly game
visuals, complete with greenbacks floating on the breeze.
There
is a date window at 3 and a small seconds counter at 9. Large
chronograph counters can be found at 12 and 6. Use the red-tipped
smaller arm when employing the convenient tachymetre scale upon the
bezel.
The
exhibition caseback shows off Alec's signature tag as well as the
fabulous TAG Heuer01 movement, which is a self-winding automatic caliber
that beats at 28,800 vph, has 39 jewels, and delivers 50 hours of
power.
Measuring
43 mm in diameter and 17 mm in height, the stainless steel case rests
upon a stainless steel bracelet with a folding buckle. Additional
features include a 100 m / 10 atm water resistance, screw-down winding
crown, and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
