Eighteenth-century
English watchmaker George Graham made significant advancements in
escapement design and is credited with inventing the chronograph. When
the brand was revived in Switzerland in 1995 Graham’s exciting and bold
timepieces brought new life to a time-honored name.
This stunning Graham Chronofighter Special
Sniper is a highly limited-edition timepiece with only 30 pieces
produced. Brimming with fascinating details and dependable functions, we
are confident that this watch will make a unique addition to your
collection as well as serve as a fascinating conversation piece.
In celebration of Russian sniper
forces, at the top of the small seconds counter found at 3 o’clock we
encounter “ВСРФ,” which translates as “Military Forces of Russian
Federation,” while the text beneath that reads “Military Intelligence.”
The Black PVD-coated stainless steel
case measures a robust 47 mm in diameter and sports a rugged Black
ceramic bezel. Other case features include a smoked sapphire crystal
case back, a domed antireflective scratch-resistant sapphire crystal,
and a 100 m / 10 atm water resistance. The fashionable black rubber
strap shows off an engaging Clous de Paris pattern and has a tough Black
DLC pin buckle.
At the heart of this watch we encounter
the black-colored dial, which is a feast for the eyes with large beige
SuperLuminova hands and numerals, a discreet date window uniquely
positioned between 8 and 9 o’clock, and a handy telemeter scale running
along the outer rim. The telemeter scale can be used to measure the
distance to an event that is both seen and heard. To make this
measurement the chronograph is started when the event is seen and
stopped when the event is heard.
This is a self-winding automatic watch
driven by Graham’s own G1747 caliber, which beats at 28,800 vph,
possesses 25 jewels, and delivers a 48-hour power reserve. Chronograph
functions include a 30-minute counter at 6, in addition to a center
seconds hand, and there is an oversized Black carbon fast-action
start/stop trigger over the push / pull winding crown and a Black PVD
reset pusher with black rubber featuring a Clous de Paris pattern.
The oversized trigger-like design that
is uniquely positioned on the left-hand side of the case starts and
stops the chronograph and also serves to protect the winding crown. The
pusher above the trigger conveniently resets the chronograph.
From its scarcity as a limited-edition watch to its unique sniper theme
and brawny construction, we are pleased to offer this timepiece here at
attractive pricing point.
