History: Edox was founded by Christian Ruefli-Flury in Biel-Bienne, Switzerland, in 1884. Not long ago company president Victor Strambini moved Edox to the Jura village of Les Genevez. Edox consistently produces sporty race-inspired timepieces, and is the official timekeeper for several races and rallies.

1884 • Christian Ruefli-Flury establishes firs Edox workshops in Biel-Bienne.

1955 • Edox employs 500 watchmakers.

1961 • Edox launches their famed Delfin model.

1970 • Geoscope “timezone” watch is launched.

1973 • Edox shares sold to ASUAG (a predecessor of the Swatch Group).

1983 • Company president Victor Strambini buys Edox back from ASUAG.

1998 • Attains world record for slimmest quartz movement with a calendar.

2005 • Les Bémonts Maitre Horloger 5 Minute Repeater is released; features a bell mechanism that sounds the time.

2008 • Edox becomes official timekeeper of the Class-1 World Powerboat Championship; Class-1 collection is launched.

2010 • Edox becomes official WRC timekeeper and releases new collection dedicated to rally drivers.

2012 • Edox becomes Official Timekeeper of the Dakar Rallye Raid.

2013 • Edox becomes the Official Timekeeper for the Extreme Sailing Series (ESS) and the World Curling Federation (WCF).
